Jules McConnel, Michael Vaughan and Craig Bennett are celebrating after securing Australia’s first WPC medal placing and a new Australian record in the CF 2-Way Sequential event.

The trio finished in third place on 169 points, narrowly missing out on silver to the USA, who took second place on 171 points. The French took out the event with a final score of 189. The team’s bronze medal is their first competing together at a World Parachuting Championship event.

A fantastic sixth round jump for the team also saw them achieve 27 points in time – a new Australian record, replacing their previous best score of 25 points which they set in November at the US National Championships.

The achievements of our top national team were recognised during a lavish medal presentation ceremony last night.
