Brad Turner - National Coach

Australian Parachute Federation CEO and National Coach, Brad Turner, will provide support to athletes in his role as Coach to the Australian Parachute Team.

Brad began his skydiving career in 1981 and is a veteran of over 11,000 jumps. He is also a former world champion in the discipline of CRW, achieving Bronze at the 1986 world meet in Australia, Silver in 1988 in France, and Gold in 1990 in China as part of the 8-way team “Early Openers”. In 1994, he also hosted the 5th World Parachuting Championships at his own drop zone at the Kooralbyn Resort in South-East Queensland. Holder of Instructor A, Accelerated Freefall, Static Line and Tandem Master Endorsements, and qualifications as an AFF and Tandem Master Examiner, Brad possesses a wealth of knowledge as a skydiving competitor, trainer and administrator. Combined with his long history of service to the APF as a past Board member and Technical Director, and now in his current role as APF CEO and National Coach, Brad has a deep and complete understanding of the needs of the competitive jumper. In the lead up to and during the WPC, Brad will do all he can to prepare the Team to ensure they perform at their best.
